Ghangbaishan Mountain

For me, being a Digital Artist also means taking on challenges, even the most extreme ones, to explore new territories, cultures, habits, and push my personal and professional limits a little further.

It is on the basis of this vision that, in 2017, I lived one of the most powerful (and cold!) experiences of my photographic and personal life, on the edge of Siberia and on the border with North Korea.

Changbaishan is one of the coldest places in China (winter temperatures reach -35°C).

It is an extinct volcano, naturally inhabited by abundant wildlife and graced with enchanting frozen lakes and lush forests as far as the eye can see.

A challenging environment in many ways, but, as I mentioned earlier, at the same time the ideal location for one-of-a-kind photographs. My photographic spirit found fertile ground in such a context. I captured the most significant images, of the landscape and the local people, to bring home a piece of that magnificent experience and make it "reliveable."

Below I have collected my favorite shots, if looking at them you feel a shiver of cold I will have hit my goal (not just the photographic one!)
