Bari

When I venture out with my camera through the streets of Bari, I feel the vibrant energy that permeates the city. It is as if it itself breathed its history and culture in every corner.

The photo shoot during the feast of Saint Nicholas, for example, was an experience that left me breathless, immersed in the joy and liveliness of traditional celebrations.

The lights that adorn the streets transform the atmosphere into a kaleidoscope of colours, while the façade of the Petruzzelli Theater stands majestically as an icon of elegance and timeless architectural beauty. There, among the cheering crowd, I captured moments of pure emotion, radiant smiles and spontaneous gestures that speak of a community alive and proud of its roots.

The Basilica of San Nicola, with its grandeur and its thousand-year history, has also been an inexhaustible source of inspiration in my journey as a young photographer. Every detail, from the decorations on the facade to the golden light that filters through the windows, tells a story of faith and devotion that mixes with the modernity of the city that surrounds it.

And then there is "nderr la lanz", the meeting place of fishermen, where the scent of the sea mixes with the sound of stories of real life. There, I met faces marked by work and wisdom, and I captured the essence of a tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation.

In each shot, I tried to capture not only the image, but also the soul of Bari. Its contradictions, its traditions, its people. And as I stared through the lens, I felt that I was part of something bigger, that I was an integral part of this wonderful city that continues to surprise and enchant me with its timeless beauty.
